MCAT Advice & Tips

  • ​Don’t work while studying for the MCAT if possible. The exam demands intense focus and time. If you can, take a break from work to dedicate yourself fully to preparation — it’ll pay off in your score and peace of mind.

  • Approach the MCAT like you do your regular schoolwork and studying. This might sound obvious, but a lot of people get caught up trying to "master" the MCAT or use fancy tricks. Instead, stick to your tried-and-true study habits. Use the methods that have helped you succeed academically.
